Council-wide Plans

What has been done so far

The preparation of the Neighbourhood Plan has been led by Grafton Underwood Parish Council which is the Qualifying Body.

Two initial Drop-In Sessions were held in May 2022, to inform local people about the neighbourhood plan process and receive views and opinions on the key issues that the Neighbourhood Plan should address.  Over 40 residents attended these events.

A further consultation was undertaken in February – March 2023 which focused on housing issues.  A consultation leaflet was delivered to all the households in the village and supporting documentation was made available on the Parish Council website.

The Parish Council has also applied for technical support to help you with the neighbourhood plan. Technical support has been provided by AECOM to undertake design support and a Neighbourhood Plan Design Guide has been prepared.

Also of relevance to the Neighbourhood Plan is the Grafton Underwood Conservation Area Appraisal, produced for Kettering Borough Council (March 2007).

The Draft Neighbourhood Plan identifies seven potential Local Green Spaces, all of which have been assessed against a checklist to test their suitability, as detailed below: –
